The meeting was called to order by the President, Mike Moore, at 7:27 p.m. during the annual Wine and Cheese Event at Ferry Plantation House.  After determining that we had a quorum present (28), he said we would have election of Board officers for 2011. 

Mike said it was nice of Ferry Plantation to allow us to have this party here.

He then announced the slate of officers:
• President – Jim Price
• First VP – Kristine Martin
• Second VP – Brian Miller
• Treasurer – Mike Moore
• Membership Chairman – Cheryl Douglas
• Recording Secretary – Barbara Amos
• Corresponding Secretary – Peggy Caverly

There were no additional nominations from the floor.

Jim Hall offered a motion that we approve the nominations.  Hearing no objections, the slate of officers was elected.

Update on the gazebo:
• Waiting for the roofing (fake cedar).  Composite material that will look like shakes.  Should be in next week.  Finial coming.  Sunbursts coming.  All should be done and ready for Christmas decorations.

Jim Hall said that copies of the Treasurer’s Report were available; unfortunately, I failed to get a copy.

Jeanette Willenbrink said that all are basically in agreement that planting around the gazebo should be kept low.

Dues for 2011 may be paid at the next meeting.
