Volunteers gathered to begin the Pembroke
Meadows Community Garden. Since this picture was taken, a surrounding
picket fence has been put up, a well was installed in the shed, a gazebo
errected and lots of raised plant beds assembled. A whole array of
things have been planted and by spring there should be many growing plants
to attact all sorts of little pollinators. The Community Garden has
been established on a corner of the Old Donation Episcopal Church property
for the benefit of residents of Pembroke Meadows, Pembroke Shores, Pembroke
Townhomes and Hudgins Shores. |
