Early on Saturday morning, October 16th, some fifty World War II veterans
gathered in the VDOT parking lot off Indian River Road and I-64 to board
buses which would take them to Washington, DC. The trip was provided
by the Historic Triangle Virginia Honor Flight to enable the veterans to
visit the World War II Memorial, Arlington Cemetery, and several other
war memorials and monuments.
