 Operation Pocket Field Pillow
On May 8th 2012, HRCMOAA Community Affairs, COL David Wade, USA-Ret., presents a $250 check to Carol Armstrong, Director Operation Pocket Field Pillow program here in Hampton Roads. Carol began Operation Pocket Field Pillow as a tribute to her son’s service, and has kept the project going to show support for all American troops, no matter where they've served. Most of the pillows have been sent to Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery troops deployed in the northeast quadrant, but boxes of pillows were also sent to the east, south and west. These pillows are small enough to store in a pocket, and are meant to be tough enough for field missions.  To date, PFP has sent 13,370 handmade pillows.
